Please note that the product does not lose all effectiveness when it expires- it can be used past the expiration date, but the effectiveness will be reduced.

Why should I use BioCair to Disinfect the Air and Surfaces?

BioCair provides a revolutionary approach to eliminating bacteria, viruses, spores and fungus from your environment: our products kill 99.999% of pathogens within 60-seconds, yet remain non-toxic, free of alcohol and is pH neutral. The other unique feature: BioCair has products to disinfect the air, disinfect your hands and any surface of item you come in contact with.

Using BioCair allows you to quickly, effectively and safely kill the harmful pathogens commonly found on surfaces and in the air.

Where should I store the unopened BioCair?

Storing out of direct light at normal room temperature is ideal.

What is the difference in the BioActive and the Disinfectant Pocket Sprays?

Both will kill all the nasty viruses and bacteria, the BioActive Pocket Spray is formulated for the fastest possible kill time on Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) while the Disinfectant Pocket Spray remains great for killing all the germs.

How many times can I mist a room with the 1 liter of BioCair Air Purifying Solution?

Based on 1-hour of misting per day- you are able to mist the room about 15 times, meaning about 15 days of misting if using level 2 on the Ultimate machine. 7 days if using the level 3 setting for 1-hour.

Where should the dry-mist machine be place in a room?

The ideal location is where the dry-mist machine is unblocked, this will allow the mist to reach all parts of the room. Our suggestions: at or above table height and centrally located in a room. If there is circulation in the room, the machine does not necessarily need to be centrally located.

How many hours should I mist each day?

The more you use the dry-mist, the lower the level of airborne pathogens, daily misting is a good way to keep the baseline level of pathogens low.

Usually 1-hour per-room per-day is enough- if you want to mist for longer, set the Ultimate machine to level 2 and mist for 2-3 hours. If you are concerned about HFMD, the haze or the flu, you can mist 3-4 hours each day.

If someone in your household is ill, the germ level will likely increase with any coughing and sneezing. To combat the increased level of germs in the air, run the misting machine more frequently and for a longer duration.

Is the BioCair Dry-Mist machine a humidifier?

No, the machine is not adding significant humidity to a room. The mist that comes from our machine is a BC-65 Dry-Mist for disinfecting a room by killing airborne pathogens.

Can I use essential oil with the Dry-Mist machines?

No. The BioCair BC-65 Dry Mist machine is not designed to be used with oils or fragrances. Adding oils or using the machine with anything other than the BioCair Air Purifying Solution is not suggested.

Can I use the BioCair Purifying solution with my humidifier?

Using the BioCair purifying solution with a normal humidifier will not be as effective as using a BioCair Dry-Mist machine as the humidifier might not produce the small, light mist needed to fill a room- a heavy, wet mist will not travel throughout the room.

When should I use the Pocket Spray?

The Pocket Spray has many applications: directly onto hands, directly onto a pacifier that has fallen on the ground, even on utensils before eating. Use the pocket spray on any surface that needs disinfecting, simply hold bottle in upright position, spray on surfaces 4 to 6 inches away and wait 60-seconds.

How do I use my BioCair® Pocket Spray?

Hold bottle in upright position, spray on surfaces 4 to 6 inches away, remember to cap securely after use.

Should I rinse my hands after using the Pocket Spray?

No, in fact, you should not rinse your hands after using the pocket spray. It is best not to rinse your hands (or objects) after using the spray as the spray will eliminate the germs and bacteria.

How do I use the Air Purifying Solution?

The BioCair Air Purifying Solution should be used with a BioCair Dry-Mist machine and diluted with distilled water at a 1:1 ratio.

Simply add 1 part BioCair purifying solution to 1 part distilled water to the tank of any BioCair Dry-Mist machine. Once you have replaced the tank, mist a room for an hour each day to keep the baseline level of pathogens in the room to a minimum.

How does BioCair kill the virus, bacteria and germs?

BioCair BC-65 is naturally derived, it comes from our body. We studied how our body fights pathogens and were able to manufacture the ‘disinfectant’ our body produces to kill a pathogen. The result is BC-65, non-toxic, no alcohol, harmless to our body yet lethal to pathogens.

The BC-65 biocide works by destroying the cell wall of the pathogen, killing the protein and DNA- once a pathogen is killed by BC-65, it stays dead. And all of this happens in under 60-seconds of direct contact.

Effective, Fast and Naturally Safe.

Is BioCair BC-65 proven to kill bacteria, viruses, fungus and spores?

Yes, BC-65 kills 99.999% of harmful pathogens. BioCair is a high-level, broad spectrum disinfectant, we have laboratory testing to validate the 99.999% ‘kill rate’ of viruses, bacteria, fungus and spores- all within 60-seconds of direct contact. The laboratory testing has been conducted by fully certified, independent laboratories.

Does BioCair kill Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD)?

Yes. HFMD is a viral infection, usually caused by Coxsackievirus A16, Enterovirus 71 has also been associated with HFMD. With HFMD being a major concern in Singapore, we had third-party laboratory testing done to validate that BC-65 can kill 99.999% of Coxsackievirus A16 & Enterovirus 71. At customers’ request, we also develop recommendations on how to use BioCair when HFMD is a concern:

Use BioActive Pocket Spray for surfaces, including hands, toys, utensils: spray on your children’s hands when they come home from school, spray directly on any toys or items at-risk of carrying HFMD and germs.

Use BioCair BC-65 Dry-Mist to kill the airborne germs: mist your children’s bedroom and common areas of the house for 1-hour each day (per room), the dry-mist will kill any airborne germs it contacts.

Is BioCair safe?

Yes. BioCair has been tested in fully accredited independent laboratories to ensure safety, all BC-65 is manufactured in Singapore under the strictest ISO conditions. BioCair BC-65 has been tested and verified that it will not cause any irritation to skin, eyes and when the dry-mist is ‘breathed in’. Of course we suggest you follow all usage guidelines and avoid spraying BioCair, like most spray products, directly into your eyes.

If my room is clean, are there any germs?

Yes, bacteria and viruses can still be present in a room that looks clean- and you cannot ‘clean the air.’ Just as BioCair will not clean the dirt from a room, a room that is clean is not disinfected.

Where is the BioCair BC-65 made?

BioCair is based in Singapore, all BC-65 is manufactured in Singapore under the strictest ISO certified manufacturing guidelines.

Did BioCair invent BC-65?

No, and Yes. Our body makes the chemical that forms BC-65, this chemical was discovered in the 1880’s, and the scientist that discovered it won the Nobel Prize.

BioCair developed a safe, unique process for manufacturing the chemical- that is BC-65.

Why is disinfecting the air important?

Airborne pathogens are important- in Singapore the most common illnesses are HFMD & Lung Infections (Influenza), these are spread via the air. The result: no matter how many times you wash your hands, you could still breathe in a pathogen.

BioCair is revolutionary solution to disinfection, the BC-65 Dry-Mist kills pathogens found in the air, helping make the air you breathe safer.

Why is the under 60-second ‘kill time’ important?

The faster a disinfectant works, the more germs it can kill. If a disinfectant takes 2 or 3 minutes to work, how many of the viruses, bacteria and spores can it truly kill? Do we have the time to standstill for 2-3 minutes while a hand sanitizer works?

BioCair is able to kill most pathogens in under 30-seconds, killing even the stubborn spores and fungus in under 60-seconds.

What does killing 99.999% of pathogens really mean? How many are left?

The kill rate represents a mathematical calculation for the reduction of a pathogen, the higher the percent (%) kill rate, the greater the reduction in pathogens; each ‘9’ added to the kill rate is a 90% reduction.

Is there is big difference in 99.9% and 99.999%? Yes. If you have 200 micro-organisms, a 99.9% kill rate will result in 20 micro-organisms remaining after disinfection while 99.999% would result in just 1 micro-organism remaining.

What is the ‘dry-mist’?

BioCair uses a ‘dry-mist’ to kill airborne pathogens, the mist is not wet,

and it is small and light, safe and non-corrosive, but deadly when it comes in contact with a pathogen. Dry-mist will stay suspended in the air a longer period of time of time than a ‘wet’ mist, allowing the dry-mist to contact and kill airborne pathogens.

The dry-mist will also kill pathogens on surfaces- as the dry-mist spreads throughout a room it will kill the germs and bacteria it contacts on surfaces- including the hard to reach places like walls and ceilings.

How is BC-65 different from alcohol? I thought alcohol was the best for disinfecting?

BioCair and BC-65 is non-toxic, pH neutral and can be used directly via the Pocket Spray and via the airborne dry-mist. BioCair is safe for babies, children and those with sensitive skin.

Alcohol is a toxic substance, alcohol is not suggested for general use with children or on sensitive skin and cannot be used in the air. Our bodies produce a small amount of alcohol, but our bodies treat alcohol as a toxin (think intoxicated after drinking alcohol).

Not just any alcohol will work to kill a pathogen, the alcohol must be strong- 60-80%- to be effective. A major drawback to using alcohol to kill germs and bacteria: alcohol kills both human cells (immune cells) and bacterial cells. Alcohol does not differentiate between the ‘good and bad’ bacteria, but simply kills. Alcohol must be used properly, allowed to thoroughly dry and rubbed all over the hands.

I already have an air purifier, do I need to use BioCair to disinfect the air?

Yes. A purifier or HEPA filter is good for removing the small particles from the air, but a filter- or air purifier- is ‘pulling’ the germs and bacteria to the filter, meaning the germs and bacteria will still be in the air or even remain in the room if they are not pulled into the purifier.

The BioCair BC-65 Dry-Mist fills a room, going to the germs and bacteria to kill them on the spot.

You can use an air purifier with the BioCair BC-65 Dry-Mist, simply turn off the air purifier, use the BC-65 Dry-Mist, once the room has been misted, turn on your filter.
