Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) poses numerous challenges, including that it spreads rapidly from person-to-person and can live outside the body for long periods of time.

Here are 3 simple steps you and your children can perform to help avoid HFMD:

  1. Keep hands clean: wash and sanitise hands regularly with a disinfectant proven to kill viruses that cause HFMD. Always ensure hands are washed and disinfected before meals and especially after using the toilet or changing diapers.
  2. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces: the more a surfaced is touched, particularly in high touch areas like door handles and faucet taps, the more frequently it should be cleaned and disinfected.
  3. Avoid sharing: avoid sharing items such as cups, utensils and toys, especially when HFMD could be present.

More information on HFMD can be found here. The BioActive pocket spray was created specifically to kill HFMD, is non-toxic, alcohol free and safe for use on and around children.
